The right direction of the policy on environmental and natural resources protection carried out by the PCC Rokita Group has been confirmed again recently.
This is due to the activities of the company Energetyka- Rokita, part of the PCC Rokita Group, concerned with production and delivery of electrical energy and heat including covering the demand of citizens of Brzeg Dolny. On 7 July 2006, Edward Biały, Director of Dolnośląski Urząd Wojewódzki (Dolnośląskie Province Governor's Office) granted the IPPC to Energetyka-Rokita.
"I am glad that by obtaining this permit you join the exclusive group of European energetic companies taking care of natural environment"- said Director Edward Biały of Province Governor's Office in Wrocław during the celebration of granting the document.
"Effective preparation of the application is a result of much discipline and hard work of our personnel and production employees" - said Zbigniew Stawiński, Chairman of the Management Board of Energetyka - Rokita. "The granted permit strengthens our belief that the ecological policy realised by Energetyka is right. Furthermore, this is also a motivation for further development and improvement of these activities in future" - he added.
The IPPC permit obtained by Energetyka includes information on compliance of production technology, effective energetic policy (cogeneration), controlling the emission of gases and dust to atmosphere, appropriate water consumption and wastes disposal, wastes management and noise level.
Although Energetyka Rokita operates in compliance with the mandatory standards, preparations have already been started for the construction of a new industrial power generating plant. This will make it possible to build a more modern energetic plant, fully automated and adjusted to new European ecological standards.
