CHEMISTS’ DAY 2008
This year’s celebration of Chemists’ Day took place in Brzeg Dolny on the 7th of June. The event, which has become a permanent part of the entire series of entertainments organised in June in Brzeg Dolny, took place under the patronage of PCC Rokita.The celebrations of Chemists' Day commenced on the 6th of June with the meeting of PCC Rokita Jubilee Group - longest-serving employees and those with a major anniversary of the start of their employment in the company. A day later, on the 7th of June, from the early morning Brzeg Dolny reverberated with life, as many sporting events were held. As a part of the recreational section, PCC Rokita organised the following contests: a swimming competition, a tennis match for the PCC Rokita President’s Cup, a football match for company teams (won by LabMatic), Chemists' Race, a table tennis match and a chess tournament. The afternoon was filled with a series of stage performances, including concerts by De Mono and Robert Moskwa, an actor known from the "M jak miłość" serial and the "Jak oni śpiewają" show. The inhabitants of Brzeg Dolny could participate in numerous contests and try their luck at karaoke. Some displayed a great measure of vocal talents and found it hard to relinquish the microphone even after midnight, when the Chemists’ Day was over.
