SUCCESS OF THE ECOLOGICAL CAMPAIGN
This year’s annual ecological initiative "Tree for a Bottle", organised by PCC Rokita, was a complete success. The children from Dolny Brzeg collected a record number of approximately seventy seven thousand PET bottles. "Tree for a Bottle", is an initiative organised across the entire country, wherever companies implementing the "Responsibility and Care" Programme (PCC Rokita) are located. The aim of the campaign is to collect unnecessary plastic PET bottles, which spoil the environment. The waste is recycled, and the participants are given trees and bushes to be planted in a place of their choice. The "Tree for a Bottle" campaign is a simple, specific and attractive tool of ecological education. The collection of PET bottles involves entire families. This year a record number of 76,857 bottles were collected. This result exceeded last year’s by over 25,000, therefore it could be said that another step in the ecological education of the children of Brzeg Dolny has been made. Soon the young participants will take part in the campaign finale, during which they will receive prizes funded by PCC Rokita.
