PCC Rokita SA and Zakłady Chemiczne Zachem SA sponsored the first EUROPUR & EURO-MOULDERS Technical Conference in Poland. This year’s edition of the conference was held on 8-9 October in Warsaw.
The conference was organised by: European Association of Flexible Polyurethane Foam Blocks Manufacturers EUROPUR and Polish Association of Flexible Polyurethane Foam Blocks Manufacturers (member of EUROPUR).
The conference gathered representatives of polyurethane foam manufacturers from all over Europe, as well as the representatives of manufacturers of raw materials for the production of polyurethane foams.
The conference participants included the representatives of: Eurofoam Polska, Recticel, PROSEAT, VITA, VITAFOAM, VEENENDAL, Foamline, PPUH "CIS" Sp. z o.o., Breckle Chemicals Technics GmbH, ContiTech Formpolster GmbH, CORRECT, Dendro Poland Ltd. Sp. z o.o., Ekornes, Foampartner, IKEA, JCI, ORGANIKA SA, ORSAFOAM SpA, PLAMA-PUR, Prodex System, Biesterfeld, as well as the representatives of PCC Rokita SA and Zakłady Chemiczne Zachem S.A.
During this annual meeting of the EUROPUR & EURO-MOULDERS Technical Committee, the key technical issues relevant for PU foam manufacturers in Europe and worldwide were addressed: REACH registration, CertiPUR data updates, IKEA’s quality requirements for PU foams, technical innovations in machine construction and in the foam manufacturing process, fire research and simulations at PU foam warehouses.
The sponsors delivered their presentations during the first day of the conference.
The presentation of PCC Rokita SA, delivered by Kevin Pickin, was devoted chiefly to our latest iPOL technology, to be launched during this quarter. Our goal was to present PCC Rokita as a modern and innovative company catering to the needs of its customers. We can proudly say that it was a 100% success, as confirmed by congratulations received from the conference participants and organizers - "We have not seen such a good presentation at Europur conference for quite some time now". The quality of the iPOL foams prepared especially for this occasion gained recognition among the PU foam manufacturers.
At our "Sponsor’s corner", the conference participants could obtain basic information about our company, our offer and new products.
Persons accompanying the conference participants had the opportunity to admire the beauty of Warsaw during a guided sightseeing. The tour programme, which covered the most beautiful parts of Warsaw, i.e. Krakowskie Przedmieście, Old Town or Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, was prepared by the sponsors especially for this event. The last stop of the tour was the visit to the Royal Brewery and beer tasting.
The crowning event of the city break was a 16th century theme banquet, during which our guests could experience the atmosphere of the Golden Age of Poland of the Gentry. As tradition dictates, the tables groaned under the rich selection of foods and drinks.
This evening was a unique experience for all participants, who truly experienced the proverbial Polish hospitality. Until that night the Polish customs and culture had not been known to our foreign guests, but we have managed to change that.
"We have not had such a unique dinner in ten years" said the guests, enchanted by the beauty and customs of our homeland. They plan to return to Poland - but this time for pleasure.
During the conference and the banquet we were graced with the presence of Mr. Alfred Pelzer.
