On the 3rd of January 2007, PCC Rokita entertained the Chief Executive of the Lower Silesian Provincial Government, Mr Andrzej Łoś, with his team. The meeting was also attended by Member of Parliament, Mr Aleksander Marek Skorupa.
The meeting was opened by Mr Mirosław Krutin, President of PCC Rokita, who presented the history, organisational structure and long-term strategy of PCC Rokita. The President also discussed the company’s development and investment plans, in particular those relating to the ChemiPark Park of Technology.
After the presentation, the guests were given a tour of the production plant, including the container terminal (of PCC Rail Containers), 3rd polyols line and the latest investment - 2nd Sulphonation Plant to be soon put into operation. Mr Łoś also had an opportunity to see the investment sites, where ChemiPark is planning to build a state-of-the-art analytical and application laboratory, training and consultation centre, as well as a business incubator.
"It is a special day for us today", said Mr Mirosław Krutin, "because we had an opportunity to show the Chief Executive what we have, in what areas we are developing and how important our company is for the region".
Mr Łoś expressed his appreciation of the regional authorities’ scientific co-operation with ChemiPark. "Our cooperation has a didactic dimension", said Mr Łoś, "It might become a model solution for this part of Europe, where there is a lack of entrepreneurs interested in cooperation with scientists".
During the meeting, there was also a discussion on the projected construction of a bridge in Brzeg Dolny, which, as stressed by MP Aleksander Marek Skorupa, would have an important influence for the town’s development.
The visit of the Chief Executive of the Lower Silesian Provincial Government was a good opportunity to present the development trends of one of the largest regional companies.
