In 2009 PCC Rokita SA participated in the UTECH Europe exhibition as an exhibitor for the first time. This year’s event took place between the 31st of March and the 2nd of April in Maastricht, Holland. Regarding polyurethane industry conference and exhibition events, it was the largest in Europe and one of the largest in the world.
Having in mind the recent dynamic development of our product portfolio and consistent company image change, we decided that taking part in the exhibition would be the most effective form of promotion.
Our primary goal was to position PCC Rokita among the key polyurethane market players, as a partner capable of meeting the high requirements of the clients. As our motto we used our PCC mission statement - "Synergy at work" and the slogan "Innovation and Service", through which we wished to underline the modern character of our business and individual approach to clients. We provided all those interested with information about the company's products, emphasising the newly introduced products offered by the Polyols Business Unit and the Phosphorus Chemistry Business Unit. The stand of PCC Rokita SA garnered a lot of interest. The visitors included not only our regular clients, but also representatives of companies that so far had no knowledge of PCC Rokita, or associated the company with the image developed years ago. There were also large numbers of visitors representing non-European companies. The discussions concerned commercial and technological issues, as well as the situation within the industry. We presented ourselves as an interesting partner on the world market, with a unique idea for how to do business. We hope that the new contacts and the image we have managed to create will expedite the implementation of our strategy of changing the profile from a mass goods manufacturer to a supplier of polyols and technologically advanced polyurethanes.
Due to the fact that the interest in PCC ROKITA’s presence at the exhibition exceeded our expectations, we have already begun planning our presence at the next UTECH Europe event in 3 years.

Maastricht, the Netherlands - Despite the economic uncertainty, the 10th UTECH Europe event, held in Maastricht, from March 31 to April 2, was rated a success, with attendance far exceeding the expectations of all exhibitors. Most of the more than 140 exhibitors made the same point at the end of the event: visitor levels had been well above their predictions, and the quality of those attending was high. In fact, more than 2836 industry professionals from 86 different countries attended the show, including the almost 400 registered delegates for the conference running parallel with the exhibition. The total figure mentioned does not include the more than 1500 passes distributed to exhibitors.
The next UTECH Europe show will be held in 2012, but 2010 sees the second UTECH North America exhibition, organised by Crain Communications Ltd publisher of Urethanes Technology International running in parallel with the Polyurethanes 2010 conference organised by the Center for the Polyurethanes Industry as well as PU China 2010. And this, if the economic pundits are correct, promises to see the world's economies again on the upward climb.
